Periwinkle

Noodler's received numerous requests for a "Periwinkle" eternal ink over the past few years. There were several prototypes sent to a handful of retailers - and it was frustrating to see how many divergent views exist of what a "periwinkle" color truly is.... Of course, I always thought of "periwinkle" as being the color of the blue curve of a periwinkle snail's shell - being in New England. Alas - some think of the … [Read more...]

Polar Brown

Polar Brown is one of the most durable fountain pen inks that Noodler's makes - once dried upon cellulose paper it exhibits that sought after resistance to bleaches and the chemical tools of the forger as well as UV light resistance and pH neutrality. The color is a fiery brown with hints of Dante within the halo of the line - which explodes upon the page if one makes a sample line upon a wet paper towel to see this … [Read more...]

La Reine Mauve

It is water resistant on most paper grades - HOWEVER, unlike other grades of Noodler's Black (Standard Black, Polar Black, Heart of Darkness, and … [Read more...]

Baystate Concord Grape & Cranberry

The reintroduction of a rare (and as of recently unavailable) mid-1940s family of inks that was once very popular in the New England area has been well received by enough pen users to warrant the expansion of these inks. Despite the highly unusual nature of this ink family (particularly when Baystate Blue is compared to far weaker nondurable modern inks) many Noodler's customers have requested that it be expanded beyond … [Read more...]
